You Only Live Once

Life as we now know it will end one day. Not one of us is exempt. We don't like to think about that, do we? But it is a fact, like it or not. Our lives are a precious gift from God. There are no rewinds, no do-overs, no mulligans, no second chances. A quote made famous by Mae West says; "You only live once; but, if you live it right, once is enough." We must not waste what time we have been given by being unhappy. We should wisely choose to be happy in order to live our life to the fullest. Jesus came so we could live a joyful, abundant life. Why not take advantage of His gift?

Father,
Help each of us to choose happiness. To make the choice immediately and do it without exception, no matter what may come our way. Remind us it is our choice and with your help we can make the change. Let our lives be full of laughter and joy. Teach us to live our lives right so we are not left with regrets. Instead, let us each express happiness flamboyantly, in our own way and possibly brighten the days of those around us. Thank you Father for showing us the changes that need to be made and leading us with your Holy Spirit. Without You, it would be impossible. In the precious name of Jesus, so be it!
